This kitchen designed for Interior Stylist Ash Young in Damac Hills brings together modern and rustic elements to craft a one-of-a-kind space. We worked closely with her to execute her vision and by blending sleek, contemporary features with natural, rustic materials, the space achieves a balanced aesthetic.
Pairing the Putty Concrete fronts with the Kaiser laminate worktop creates a beautiful contrast and a dynamic interplay of textures that draw the eye. Adding versatile gold handles infuses a sense of opulence and provides an elegant contrast to the industrial feel of the kitchen.
The backsplash incorporates a mix of materials, creating a multi-dimensional and textured appearance. Most of it is adorned with a polished white brick design, lending a traditional flair and a sense of freshness. Behind the stove, the backsplash features patterned tiles that add a pop of interest and colour. Ash wanted to include an eye-catching element that provides visual intrigue.
A built-in Miele microwave is installed within a wall cabinet, preserving valuable counter space, and contributing to the streamlined ambiance of the coffee area. To complete the modern rustic look, a white ceramic Franke sink by Villeroy & Boch is integrated in the design.
Ash’s favourite part of her villa is the kitchen. “Everything was replaced to make it look more elegant and functional at the same time. We love to hang out in the kitchen – there’s a breakfast bar there, the kids do their homework there while I’m cooking, we often eat there as well.” She shares.
Every detail has been meticulously designed to suit the client’s individual taste and functional requirements.
