“When it comes to compact kitchens, every inch counts. Clever storage solutions and a smart layout can help you make the most of your space while still maintaining a beautiful design,” says Designer Amrin Khatoon.
This Kaiser kitchen in Downtown, designed by Amrin Khatoon, was a closed space that was lacking in storage. The first step in the transformation was to remove the walls and set up an open concept. This immediately gave the kitchen a more spacious feel. Every corner was cleverly utilised to provide ample storage for all the kitchen supplies, making it easy to keep the space organised and clutter-free.
The handleless fronts with a neutral lacquered color palette create a serene atmosphere while blending well with the rest of the space. To add a touch of personality and provide styling opportunities, Amrin integrated decorative shelves to serve as a design element allowing the homeowners to display their favorite pieces of cookware, recipe books and decorative items.
Amrin not only took into account the overall layout of the kitchen, but also carefully considered the individual areas within the space. She incorporated a separate zone designated as a coffee station and is a functional and convenient addition to the kitchen to store small appliances and keep them easily accessible.
With a little bit of planning and attention to detail, this beautifully designed kitchen is the perfect blend of functionality and aesthetics.
